Job Profile

The Laundry Attendant maintains or exceeds Delta standards including taking ownership of laundry cleaning standards at the heart of hotel guest operations.

Duties and Responsibilities
Sorting linens, towels, clothing and other laundry items by color, size and material.
Wrapping laundry items for pickup or delivery to customers and hospitality guests.
Washing items with commercial laundry equipment following proper sanitization protocols.
Cleaning stains with care following property specified procedures for all laundry items.
Cleaning and maintaining laundry room area and equipment.
Unloading laundry from commercial dryers.
Stocking laundry supplies such as detergent, bleach, laundry bags and fabric softener.
Cleaning and emptying lint filters, report issues if required.
Understands how to utilize various pieces of laundry equipment effectively.
Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs.'

Qualifications




Able to stand for long periods of time (up to 8 hrs).
Lots of repetitive upper body movement.
Must be able to learn quickly and work with little supervision.
Able to communicate effectively in English both written and verbal.
Possess valuable attention to detail and have solid organizational skills.
Open availability as shifts may be scheduled throughout the day and evening as needed.
Must be willing to work in Kamloops, BC
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Working conditions
Fast-paced workplace.
Warm workplace due to the constant running of the washers and dryers.
Standing for long periods of time.
Shifts can vary day or evening based on business needs.

Physical requirements
Ability to pull, push, reach, bend, stoop, kneel and frequently lift to 20 pounds.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
