- *Position:** Project Manager
- *Job Status:** Permanent
- *Location:** Greater Sudbury, Ontario
- *Reports to:** Senior Project Manager
- *The Opportunity**
nJoin the City of Greater Sudbury and play a key role in delivering critical infrastructure projects that shape our community. Reporting to the senior project manager, you’ll lead the planning, coordination and execution of linear infrastructure projects - from concept through construction and warranty - ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest quality standards. - *What You’ll Do**
- Lead and coordinate project teams, consultants and contractors through all phases of project delivery.
- Develop and implement project management plans, including scope, schedule, budget, risk and communication strategies.
- Monitor and report on project performance, including financials, timelines and key milestones.
- Oversee procurement processes (RFPs, RFQs), specifications and cost estimates.
- Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with contract documents, regulations and quality standards.
- Manage project risks, changes and stakeholder expectations, resolving issues and mediating disputes as needed.
- Chair project meetings and maintain accurate documentation and reporting.
- Liaise with internal and external community partners, including the public, and support consultation activities.
- Act as a representative in project-related claims or litigation matters.
- *What You’ll Bring**
- University degree in a related discipline and at least three years of engineering experience or college diploma in related discipline with at least five years of engineering experience.
- Experience managing or coordinating infrastructure or capital projects, ideally in a municipal or public sector setting.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, construction practices and contract administration.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, risks and multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships and navigate complex community partner environments.
- Proficiency with project management and related software tools.
- PMP designation, P.Eng. (PEO), or C.E.T. (OACETT) considered assets.
- Valid Class G driver’s licence with a safe driving record.

- *Salary and Additional Benefits**
nThe salary range for this position is $106,641.99 to $125,533.17 per year.
