About Us

Taj Rugs has been a trusted provider of premium area rugs in the Greater Toronto Area for over 47 years. We are looking for a motivated and energetic Sales Associate who can also support our digital marketing efforts.

Key Requirements (Must-Have)

- Comfortable with HEAVY LIFTING (rugs can be large and heavy)
- Strong ENGLISH communication skills
- Excellent customer interaction and SERVICE SKILLS
- Experience or strong interest in DIGITAL MARKETING (social media & ads)

ResponsibilitiesSales & Customer Service

- Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner
- Provide product knowledge and recommendations
- Process sales transactions accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized showroom
- Assist with inventory and stock handling
- Meet or exceed sales targets
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns

Digital Marketing

- Manage social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, Google, Yelp, Houzz)
- Assist with Meta Ads (Facebook/Instagram) and Google Ads
- Create and publish content (posts, blogs)
- Support SEO and online visibility efforts
- Collect and manage customer reviews
- Create and send email campaigns (Mailchimp)

Qualifications





- 1–3 years of retail sales experience (area rug experience is an asset)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic to intermediate computer skills
- Experience with social media for business marketing is an asset
- Ability to multitask and adapt to different role

Pay

Competitive pay with commission, based on experience

Additional Requirements

- Must be located in VAUGHAN/WOODBRIDGE AREA
- Valid DRIVERS license is an asset
- Physically capable of handling HEAVY MERCHANDISE
