At Toronto Kidz, we celebrate the unique diversity and individual interests of children. Located in the vibrant city of Toronto, we strive to cultivate open-minded, globally aware youngsters. Our carefully crafted programs embrace each child’s uniqueness, fostering teamwork, friendship and responsibility. Led by experienced and qualified staff, we provide an engaging environment for kids to discover and learn, sparking their curiosity and supporting their continuous growth.
We run year-round, offering programming for P.A. Days, winter/March Break, and summer camp. Currently, we have 11 locations throughout Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and are continuing to grow! We welcome campers between the ages of 5-12 years old and are dedicated to nurturing a fun and agile learning experience each summer! For our younger campers, our multi-activity camp features exciting weekly themes like Dinosaurs, Pirates, Space, and more. ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you passionate about teaching and creative activities? Join us this summer as a volunteer and help create a fun, safe, and engaging environment for children! This year our summer camp will run from June 29th to August 28th, 2026. We are looking for Camp Volunteers who can commit, full-time, to a minimum of 2 consecutive weeks, any time between June 29th to August 28th, 2026.
As a volunteer, you will work closely with camp staff to assist in daily arts & crafts, theme activities, and help facilitate both indoor and outdoor programming. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in working with children, leadership, and teamwork. Volunteers will work in a fast-paced, active environment and play a vital supporting role in making summer camp memorable for everyone.
WHAT YOU WILL DO (RESPONSIBILITIES):
- Organize and sort camp materials,
supplies and equipment as required by the Assistant Location Manager.
- Support counsellors with games, crafts and other activities.
- Supervise campers during lunch and snack times.
- Assist with special needs campers.
- Facilitate a smooth drop-off and pick-up process by helping the Location Manager or Assistant Location Manager run campers.
- Clean the camp location and camp equipment as needed.
- Take camper photos and upload photos to a shared Google Drive.
- Flexible to help with manual tasks, i.e. lifting boxes.
- Work professionally in a team with creative volunteers and camp counsellors.
- Help the Location Manager and/or Assistant Location Manager with daily ad hoc tasks.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING (REQUIREMENTS):
- Minimum age: 16 years.
- Available and committed to volunteering for a half days or full days for a minimum of 2 consecutive weeks, any time between June 29 - August 28, 2026.
- Half days: Mornings: 8 am - 1:00 pm or Afternoons: 12:30 pm - 5:30 pm
- Full days: 8:45 am - 4:45 pm
- If over 18 years old, complete a valid and recent Vulnerable Sector Police Check (no older than 6 months) at your own expense prior to the start of employment.
- A Standard First Aid & CPR, level C, certificate is an asset.
- Previous experience working in a team environment is preferred.
- Previous experience working at a summer camp or working with kids is an asset.
- Specific skills (sports, art, science, yoga, etc.) an asset.
- Comfortable working outdoors and in dynamic, noisy environments with high-energy children.
- Enthusiastic, energetic and positive attitude towards all tasks.
- Professional demeanor towards all campers, parents and staff.
