We are excited to launch two brand-new apartment buildings, The Palmer in Kanata and Landing on Main in Stittsville, to add to our existing portfolio of hotels and apartments in Ottawa and we are seeking a dedicated and professional Leasing Agent to join our residential leasing team and help our customers find their perfect new rental apartment home.
Job Description:
As a Leasing Agent, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for driving the successful lease-up of The Palmer and Landing on Main, as well as our existing apartment building in Kanata, the Residences at Kanata Lakes. You will provide outstanding customer service to prospective tenants, guide them through the leasing process, show them the unit and our spectacular amenities, and contribute to creating a vibrant community in each of our properties.
The successful candidate will have some flexibility to shift their work schedule from typical business hours to allow tenants tours to take place early in the evenings or on weekends.

Key Responsibilities:
Leasing Activities:
- Become an expert with knowledge of the neighborhood, community, property features, amenities, unit layouts, unit finishes, and the local market.
- Conduct tours of model units, amenities, and common areas, both in-person and virtually.
- Answer questions that prospective tenants may have, both written and verbally.
- Make an effort to understand the customer and what is key to them in finding their new rental home.
- Actively market available units through online listings, social media, and outreach initiatives.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of unit availability, pricing, and lease process.
Tenant Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective tenants, responding promptly to inquiries via email, phone, and in-person visits.
- Assist applicants with the leasing process, including application submission, screening, and lease signing.
- Provide a seamless move-in experience for new residents.
Administrative Tasks:
- Maintain records of tenant interactions using CRM software.
- Maintain records of applications, and lease agreements using property management software.
- Process rental applications and perform credit and reference checks.
- Prepare leasing reports and track leasing progress.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of prospects.
- Previous experience in leasing, property management, or sales is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with property management software (Yardi) is a plus
- Basic software proficiency (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace).
Requirements:
- Weekend availability is required.
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are mandatory.
- Knowledge of the West Ottawa rental market and surrounding area is a plus.
