Principal Systems and Cloud Infrastructure Administrator

Rheinmetall Canada is proud to be part of the German group Rheinmetall, one of Europe's largest suppliers of defense and security systems and equipment. We offer cutting-edge solutions for vehicle systems and electronic solutions. Among the many benefits we offer: a flexible work schedule with teleworking (3 days on site), private medical services, a complete range of employee benefits, a cafeteria service, an entertainment and training room, free parking, and an environment surrounded by greenery. Start your career with us by being recognized for your previous years of work and encouraged toward the development of your future skills! As Principal Systems and Cloud Infrastructure Administrator at Rheinmetall Canada, your main challenge will be to design the target architecture of our hybrid IT environment and concretely implement it with the team. This is a hands-on role: about half of your time will be spent on design, planning, and technological choices, and the other half on implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting, alongside our three administrators (systems, senior systems, and network). There will be your main responsibilities: Participate in the design of the target architecture of the hybrid IT infrastructure (on-premise and Azure/AWS cloud) and directly participate in its implementation. Plan and carry out the migration of services to the cloud, taking into account data residency and sovereignty constraints. Define architecture standards and baseline configurations, then concretely apply them in environments with the systems and network administrators. Evaluate envisioned solutions, conduct proofs of concept, and recommend technical directions. Design and implement hybrid identity, connectivity (ExpressRoute, VPN), and segmentation solutions,

integrating security-by-design principles (Zero Trust, least privilege). Contribute to the technical aspect of compliance programs as well as continuity and disaster recovery plans. Work on a daily basis with systems and network administrators: configuration, deployment, testing, troubleshooting, and go-live of solutions. Take charge of complex technical problem resolution and participate in planned interventions, including occasionally outside normal hours during go-lives. Design and maintain development environments and the DevSecOps chain used by engineering teams. Document configurations, procedures, and architecture diagrams, and ensure they are kept up to date. Ensure active technological monitoring and propose directions for the evolution of the IT platform. The qualifications you should possess: Degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. 7 to 10 years of IT experience, including at least 3 years in cloud solutions or infrastructure administration, with sustained hands-on experience. Demonstrated expertise on Azure (AZ-305 or equivalent) and AWS (AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent)—preferred. Experience in hybrid infrastructure design and cloud migration in a regulated context. Knowledge of CMMC, CP-CSC, EIPA requirements and data sovereignty constraints for controlled goods. Cloud security skills (CSPM, Zero Trust, Defender for Cloud), an asset. Excellent analytical, communication, and technical documentation skills. Bilingual (French/English).* We thank all applicants for their interest. However, only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted. Rheinmetall Canada subscribes to the principle of employment equity. *Rheinmetall Canada's clients and partners are mostly from outside Quebec, as is its subsidiary Rheinmetall Provectus, which is based in Ontario.
