About the Position As a Senior Project Manager (Senior PM) at JAKALA, you will lead the activities for discovery, design, planning, scheduling, development, testing, and deployment. These initiatives serve as the focal point of communication for both internal and external stakeholders. You are expected to be passionate, smart, highly focused, and a dedicated team player who can be the frontline of delivery excellence to our customers. Key Responsibilities Client Success Senior Project Managers ensure that the initiatives they oversee are healthy and successful. They use a combination of consulting, oversight, hands‑on leadership, and team leadership to surpass client expectations and keep projects on schedule, budget, and scope. Senior PMs support the long‑term health and growth of assigned accounts, evaluate project health, identify risks, manage escalated situations, develop mitigation plans, develop communication plans, articulate issues to higher leadership, and successfully execute mitigation plans. JAKALA Success Senior PMs are responsible for managing their projects to help achieve JAKALA’s revenue and profitability goals. They deliver successfully on budget and high staff utilization, manage engagement budgets to minimize overages, maximize revenue, keep assigned staff highly utilized, and assist the team in the growth and expansion of assigned accounts. Team Success Senior PMs have a front‑line, hands‑on role in ensuring team success. They are responsible for effective assignment of tasks, tickets, and day‑to‑day execution of projects, working with developers, QA, designers, analytics, solutions, SEO, and other specialized team members to maintain a highly functional and smoothly operating team.



Qualifications 8+ years experience as a web project manager in an agency setting Experience working with multiple clients at various levels from mid‑size companies to enterprise organizations Experience managing risk, escalations, and mitigation Experience managing discovery, design, development, and QA efforts Experience managing the detailed delivery of a portfolio of projects to meet defined time, budget targets, and quality standards Experience with various software development methodologies and design principles Very robust attention to detail and ability to work in ambiguous situations Ability to recognize when to have tough conversations with all parties to ensure engagement success Ability to lead and manage remote teams and staff, forecast, and communicate resource needs throughout the engagement lifecycle Ability to lead, organize, and execute complex communication plans and project plans Ability to work closely with the account management team to develop long‑term engagements and partnerships with clients Willingness to admit mistakes or challenges to company leadership and work together to make corrections or avoid larger issues Ability to liaise with third parties and vendors to ensure seamless integration and delivery Responsible for ensuring deliverables meet agreed‑upon quality standards and client expectations Nice to Haves Formal PM training or certifications (PMO, Agile, Scrum, etc.) Previous experience working remotely (WFH) and demonstrated remote communication skills Compensation Compensation goes up to CAD $150k-$165k.
