Job Overview

As a Steel Framer, you’ll assemble and install steel framing components using construction plans and appropriate tools. You’ll work with the crew to complete Architectural work accurately and keep projects moving safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

- Read blueprints and schematics to identify framing layouts, measurements, and installation requirements.
- Measure, cut, position, and secure steel framing components using hand and power tools.
- Coordinate material handling and heavy lifting with the crew, and operate heavy equipment when appropriate.
- Support related construction tasks, which may include concrete forming and finishing, carpentry, woodworking, drywall, siding, restoration, and welding.

Requirements

Required: Practical ability to read blueprints or schematics, use hand and power tools, handle heavy materials, and follow construction procedures. Attention to detail and coordination with coworkers support accurate, safe installation.
Preferred: Construction experience, particularly in steel framing, carpentry, or woodworking, is helpful. Familiarity with concrete forming or finishing, drywall, siding, restoration, welding, or heavy equipment operation can also support wide-ranging project needs.

Pay: $21.86-$30.00 per hour
