Job Description
ACE Services Mécaniques is looking for experienced Heavy Duty Mechanics to join our team at Greenstone Mine near Geraldton, Ontario.
You will perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on heavy mining equipment to ensure equipment reliability and availability.
Experience with production drills and surface or underground mining equipment is a strong asset.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on heavy mining equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues
- Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and perform repairs
- Work on mining equipment, including Pit Viper PV 235 drills, Caterpillar 793/992, Komatsu PC 5500 and P&H; equipment
- Use diagnostic tools such as CAT ET, SIS or equivalent
- Complete inspections and document repairs
- Follow all site health and safety procedures
Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant heavy equipment experience
- Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification
- Experience in mining, construction or heavy industrial environments
- Robust mechanical, hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with production drills or mining equipment (asset)
- Ability to work a FIFO 14/14 rotation with day and night shifts
- Strong problem-solving skills, autonomy and commitment to safety
