About COSReady

COSReady Inc. is a Toronto-based technology startup building an AI-powered SaaS and marketplace platform for beauty, wellness, and service-based businesses.

Our platform includes online booking, business management, CRM, location-based service discovery, community features, and AI-powered business tools.

As our web and mobile platforms continue to grow, we are looking for a detail-oriented, technically capable Software QA & Project Coordinator to help improve product quality, coordinate development tasks, and ensure reliable feature delivery.

This is a hands-on role combining software quality assurance with development project coordination, ideal for someone who enjoys testing products, identifying issues, and ensuring things get done properly.

Key Responsibilities

- Software Quality Assurance (QA)
- Perform hands-on functional testing across our website, mobile apps (iOS/Android), and SaaS management platform.
- Validate completed features against business requirements, user flows, and acceptance criteria.
- Identify functional bugs, logical inconsistencies, UI/UX issues, and edge cases.
- Document defects clearly in Jira, including reproduction steps, screenshots, expected results, and severity.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure fixes and new features do not negatively affect existing functionality.
- Perform end-to-end testing across interconnected features, user roles, and workflows.
- Verify completed development work before production release.
- Development Project Coordination
- Organize, maintain, and track development tasks in Jira.
- Monitor task status, priorities, dependencies, and delivery timelines.
- Follow up with developers on outstanding issues, bug fixes, and incomplete features.
- Coordinate the development, testing, revision, and release process.
- Identify blockers, communicate risks, and help keep development on schedule.
- Provide concise progress reports and highlight items requiring management attention.
- Ensure completed tasks meet agreed requirements before closure.

- Product Requirements & Process Improvement
- Work directly with the founder and developers to clarify functional requirements.
- Translate product requirements into actionable development tasks and clear acceptance criteria.
- Proactively identify missing logic, inconsistencies, and potential usability issues.
- Maintain practical test cases, QA checklists, and release validation procedures.
- Help establish lightweight, effective QA and development workflows suitable for a growing startup.

Required Qualifications

- 2+ years of professional experience in software QA, technical project coordination, or a related role.
- Hands-on experience testing web applications and mobile apps.
- Familiarity with Jira or similar issue-tracking and project management tools.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, bug tracking, regression testing, and release processes.
- Ability to understand complex user flows, identify logical inconsistencies, and communicate issues clearly.
- Basic technical understanding of frontend, backend, databases, and API interactions.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple development tasks and priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and follow-through.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with developers.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to Have

- Experience testing SaaS platforms, marketplaces, CRM systems, or online booking applications.
- Familiarity with Postman, API testing, browser developer tools, or basic SQL.
- Experience with automated testing tools.

- Previous experience coordinating small software development teams.
- Experience working in startups or fast-paced product environments.
- Mandarin communication skills are an asset.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

- Enjoys hands-on testing and takes ownership of product quality.
- Can understand not just whether a feature works, but whether it works correctly from the user's perspective.
- Proactively identifies issues rather than waiting for detailed instructions.
- Can follow up with developers and ensure reported issues are properly resolved.
- Is comfortable working directly with a founder and a small development team.
- Can balance thorough testing with practical deadlines.
- Values transparent communication, accountability, and reliable delivery.

This is not a purely administrative project management position. The successful candidate must be comfortable personally testing software, investigating issues, and driving tasks through to completion.
