We are currently looking for class 1 drivers with flat deck, SupB experience. This is a local opportunity, no long hauls, overnights or layovers. You are home every night. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers who want to be closer to home while still making a good wage. Applicants must have SupB, flat deck experience, have a good knowledge of Edmonton and surrounding areas. Knowledge of load securement, pre&post; trip, logbook and bill of ladings are mandatory. A strong work ethic is going to be very important as this is NOT a sit behind the wheel type of job, you are doing multiple loads per day. Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods locally
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securement
- Plan routes and follow delivery schedules to ensure timely deliveries
- Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues
- Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records of deliveries
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably as a local driver
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Physical fitness for heavy lifting and loading/unloading of cargo
- Familiarity with Edmonton and surrounding area
- Excellent customer service skills
