Evolve CPAs is a growing Edmonton firm that works closely with owner-managed businesses, real estate developers and investors, professional corporations and not-for-profits. We run a modern, cloud-based practice and we are always refining how the work gets done, so our team spends less time on the routine and more time on the work that matters to clients.

We are looking for a Staff Accountant who learns fast, takes ownership of files, and is genuinely excited about how technology is changing our profession.

What you'll do

- Prepare compilation engagements (CSRS 4200) and year-end working papers from start to finish
- Prepare T2 corporate and T1 personal tax returns, plus GST/HST filings
- Support review engagements under senior and partner guidance
- Handle bookkeeping clean-ups, payroll and CRA correspondence for a wide-ranging client base
- Communicate directly with clients, from information requests to explaining results in plain language
- Help us improve our own workflows - if you see a better way, we want to hear it

What you bring

- 1-3 years of Canadian public practice experience (strong co-op or articling experience will be considered)
- Working knowledge of compilations, T2 and T1 preparation
- Enrolled in the CPA PEP or recently designated is an asset
- Strong comfort with technology: you pick up new software quickly and actively look for smarter, faster ways to work
- Experience with any of Xero,



QuickBooks Online, CaseWare, TaxCycle or ProFile
- Clear written communication and good judgment with confidential client information
