Lead Development Engineering for the City of Nanaimo in British Columbia, applying civil engineering expertise and independent judgment. This permanent full time position oversees development proposal reviews.
Reporting to the Director, Planning & Development, the Manager directs the Development Engineering Section within the Planning & Development Department. The role requires planning, organizing, directing, and controlling section activities. Complex issues and matters of major impact are referred to the Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan Development Engineering Section activities
- Organize and direct section operations
- Control Development Engineering functions
- Oversee development proposal reviews
- Refer major-impact matters to the Director
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related discipline
- Minimum five years of related experience
- Proven management supervisory experience
- Eligibility for Association membership in British Columbia
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence
