As we continue to strengthen and grow our operations, we are looking for an experienced, motivated, and hands-on Assistant General Manager to join our leadership team.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Assistant General Manager to work directly with our General Manager in supporting daily operations, employee performance, operational efficiency, and long-term business objectives.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys being actively involved in the business, understands the importance of accountability, and can confidently move between high-level planning and hands-on problem-solving.

Automotive industry experience is an asset, but it is not required. We are equally interested in candidates with robust operational leadership experience in manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, logistics, or other fast-paced business environments.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Business Management

- Support the General Manager in overseeing daily business operations.
- Help coordinate activities across departments to ensure efficient workflows and strong communication.
- Identify operational challenges and implement practical, sustainable solutions.
- Review existing processes and recommend improvements to productivity, efficiency, and service delivery.
- Ensure employees have the resources, tools, and direction required to perform their jobs effectively.
- Support the implementation of new operational systems, procedures, and technologies.

Leadership & Employee Development

- Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and guidance to employees and departmental leaders.
- Establish transparent expectations and encourage accountability at all levels.
- Assist with performance management, goal setting, and employee development.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative workplace culture.
- Encourage teamwork and communication between departments.




- Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic.

Strategic Planning & Continuous Improvement

- Work closely with the General Manager to support business objectives and long-term growth.
- Translate strategic goals into achievable operational plans.
- Assist with establishing and tracking departmental goals and performance measures.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes, customer satisfaction, and organizational performance.
- Support organizational change and continuous improvement initiatives.

Communication, Safety & Compliance

- Maintain transparent and consistent communication between management and employees.
- Provide regular operational updates, progress reports, and recommendations to the General Manager.
- Ensure company policies, procedures, and workplace standards are followed.
- Promote workplace health and safety practices and a culture of accountability.
- Support compliance with applicable workplace regulations and company expectations.

Qualifications & Experience

- Proven management or operational leadership experience.
- Demonstrated success leading teams and improving business operations.
- Strong organizational, planning, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience managing competing priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Ability to identify inefficiencies, develop solutions, and follow through on implementation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, practical approach to leadership.
- Ability to work collaboratively with ownership, senior management, and employees.

The Following Are Considered Assets

- Experience in the automotive, automotive recycling, manufacturing, distribution, or logistics industries.
- Previous experience as an Assistant General Manager, Operations Manager, or General Manager.
- Experience introducing operational improvements, systems, or performance measures.
- First Aid certification.
- Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) Certification, Parts One and Two.
