What we’re looking for:

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles with experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliation and payroll functions. This person will be self-motivated, detail oriented, accurate, able to multi-task, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Follow and complete all month end procedures with accuracy and efficiency
- Oversee issuing of cheques and payment of invoices
- Oversee accounts receivable and payables
- Reconciling various monthly remittances
- Prepare and distribute income reports and statistics to key personnel




- Form payment strategies to make timely A/P payments and mitigate supplier objections.
- Liaise with managers in the dealership and support them in their accounting needs
- Assist with preparation for any audits or independent reviews with support from the Controller
- Maintain current knowledge of regulatory changes and impacts on the organization’s procedures and general ledger accounts
- Maintain an accurate and complete trail of supporting documentation for all accounting activities
- Maintain up-to-date, complete and systematic filing system to support accounting and financial records
- Ensure the strict confidentiality and privacy of financial records as they relate to the organization and its business partners.
- Working closely with the corporate office and following all company policies and procedures

Core Competencies and Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- CGA or CMA designation preferred
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, dealership accounting preferred
- Excellent current computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Word, MS Outlook and MS Excel
- General understanding of computerized accounting systems
- A strong, hands-on knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook
- A strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Pay: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
