Pembina Trails School Division seeks an Educational Assistant 1 under school administrator supervision and skilled input. The work supports student engagement through academic assistance, adapted programming, communication support, and responses to emotional, behavioural, and physical needs. The position starts November 16, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist students in classroom, small-group, and individual settings
- Deliver adapted programming under teacher direction
- Document student-specific program performance
- Support emotional, behavioural, and physical student needs
- Supervise recess,
lunch, and swim program activities
Requirements:
- Ability to work within established classroom and behavioural structures
- Ability to support students with learning and behavioural challenges
- Ability to use augmentative and alternative communication
- Ability to administer medication under student U.R.I.S. plans
- Flexibility adapting to students' educational programming
