Job Summary

The Wild Oat is proud to offer a wide variety of healthy, fresh, vegetarian buffet steam table options. We currently have over 40 different recipes for soups, curries, stews, chilis, roasted veggies, lasagna, and more. These recipes are prepared daily with care. We are looking for a full time cook to coordinate and create the dishes served in the buffet steam table.

While this cook is expected to follow our pre-existing recipes, we are looking to hire someone who is interested in expanding the steam table menu. This means bringing personal creativity to the role to help create recent vegetarian and vegan recipes.

Duties

- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and service needs.
- Follow food-handling and food-safety practices, including keeping preparation and serving areas clean and orderly.
- Coordinate with kitchen and service colleagues to maintain timely meal preparation and consistent service.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
