Outside Sales Representative – Freight & Logistics (Toronto)
Internally, we call it an Outside Relationship Representative, because that's really what the job is.
THE SHORT VERSION
You drive around the GTA, meet business owners and shipping managers face to face, and become the person they call when they need freight moved. No cubicle. No office politics.
$50,000 base to start. Our motivated reps typically earn around $90,000 in year one and $135,000 in year two, and the commission is uncapped. Our top performers clear $200,000+.
If you've never worked in freight a day in your life, keep reading. We'd rather teach the industry to someone with the right attitude than fix the attitude of someone with a resume.
WHO WE ARE
Moto Transportation moves cross-border and domestic Canadian freight, and handles customs clearance for companies shipping non-perishable goods across North America.
We run on three things: being stupid smart with your work, cutting through the noise with NO B.S., and a "Get 'er Done" attitude. That's not wall art, it's how decisions actually get made here.
We're growing, and we're adding a rep in Toronto to grow with us.
WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY DO
- Get out of the office and build real, face-to-face relationships with shippers in Toronto and the surrounding area.
- Turn conversations into shipments, and one-time shipments into repeat customers.
- Prospect new accounts and reopen doors with customers who've gone quiet.
- Keep your customer and prospect records straight in our CRM (every interaction logged — it's how we back each other up).
- Answer your emails and your phone quickly. In this business, speed wins deals.
A typical week:
4 days on the road doing drop-ins and scheduled visits, time in the office chasing quotes and following up, and a running list of accounts you're working to bring in. You own your territory.

Requirements:
- Valid Ontario driver's licence and reliable vehicle.
- Legally able to work in Canada.
- Willing to be on the road most days.
Not required: freight experience, logistics experience, or a degree. We'll train you.
WHAT WE OFFER
- $50,000 base salary + uncapped commission. Here's what that actually looks like:
– Year one: roughly $90,000 total.
– Year two: roughly $135,000 total.
– Top performers: $200,000+.
These aren't fantasy numbers, they're what our reps earn. The base is your floor, not your salary.
