Analyze project costs and forecasts as a Junior Project Controller with Valard in Edmonton or Calgary, working office-based five days weekly.

Reporting to a Project Controller, you will support Transmission projects through project-based financial reporting, cost control, and operational finance. This development position builds skills toward Project Controller progression while providing exposure to the full project lifecycle and senior leadership reporting. Your work will use JD Edwards, EcoSys, Excel, earned value concepts, and project accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Track project costs, commitments, revenue, and variances using JDE and EcoSys
- Prepare forecasts and estimate-to-complete analysis using crew-based CPI methods
- Document cost review actions and follow up with Project Managers
- Maintain change order, claims,



and project risk registers
- Prepare monthly KPI, variance, risk, chance, and cash flow reporting

Requirements:

- Finance or Accounting post-secondary education
- Three years of project-based financial experience in construction, EPC, or utilities
- Knowledge of project accounting, percentage-of-completion revenue recognition, and WIP analysis
- Understanding of CPI, SPI, change management, cash flow, and contract terms
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and specialized software learning aptitude
