Our client is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll and benefits administration for a unionized workforce. Reporting into Finance and working closely with HR, this position is responsible for payroll processing, benefits administration, reporting, reconciliations, and employee support.

Key Responsibilities
Process weekly payroll, including overtime, vacation, leaves, new hires, terminations, and payroll adjustments.
Administer pension, benefits, union dues, statutory deductions, and other payroll-related deductions.
Prepare payroll reports, journal entries, reconciliations, ROEs, and year-end payroll documentation.
Coordinate benefits enrollment, changes, terminations, and employee inquiries.
Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, collective agreements, and internal policies.
Maintain accurate payroll and employee records while supporting process improvements and audits.
