As a Senior Travel Claims Specialist, you will support Affinity Markets Travel Claims and Group Benefit programs. You will assess medical, cancellation, baggage, accidental death and dismemberment, and collision damage claims. Your work protects Manulife from financial, legal, and reputational risk while supporting Third-Party Providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage referrals from intake through closure in the workflow platform
- Review claim evidence and verify AI-assisted summaries for accuracy
- Make final decisions on contested claims and second-level appeals
- Handle litigated claims and correspond with legal counsel
- Conduct audits and identify fraud, errors, and recovery opportunities
Requirements:
- University degree or equivalent work experience
- Three to five years adjudicating life, health, or travel claims
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medications, diseases, tests, and treatments
- Analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation skills
- Comfort learning digital tools and questioning AI-assisted outputs
