Help Power the Future of Manufacturing
At DSC, we specialize in manufacturing facility layout, design, and engineering solutions that help clients build, upgrade, and optimize their operations. From designing industrial power distribution systems to integrating production equipment and modernizing facility infrastructure, we develop practical solutions that make manufacturing environments safer, more efficient, and more reliable.
We're looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Electrical Engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges, understanding how industrial electrical systems operate, and transforming engineering concepts into practical, real-world solutions.
You'll work alongside experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams on diverse industrial projects involving power distribution, electrical system studies, equipment integration, and facility upgrades. From initial site investigations and concept development through detailed design, installation, and commissioning, you'll have the opportunity to see your engineering work come to life.
If you enjoy combining technical design, problem-solving, and hands-on engineering, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Be Doing
- Electrical Design & Power Distribution: Design and evaluate industrial electrical & network systems, including transformers, switchgear, panelboards, MCCs, feeders, and facility power infrastructure.
- Equipment & Facility Integration: Develop electrical layouts, single-line diagrams, equipment connections, and power requirements for industrial machinery and manufacturing operations.
- Engineering Analysis & Safety: Perform electrical load calculations, equipment sizing, and support short-circuit, coordination, and arc-flash studies to improve system safety and reliability.
- Hands-On Project Work: Conduct site investigations, field assessments, equipment evaluations,
and support electrical installations, facility upgrades, and commissioning.
- Collaboration & Project Delivery: Work with engineers, clients, contractors, and trades to coordinate designs, resolve technical challenges, and support projects from concept through implementation.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to develop and interpret electrical drawings.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals, industrial power distribution, equipment selection, and electrical calculations.
- Familiarity with motors, MCCs, VFDs, control systems, and industrial equipment power requirements.
- Awareness of applicable Ontario electrical codes, safety standards, and practical installation considerations.
- Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- A proactive, detail-oriented team player who enjoys both technical design and hands-on fieldwork.
- Someone to push beyond the industry standards, who wants to grow themselves and the company servcies.
Bonus Skills: Experience with SKM PowerTools, EasyPower, ETAP, Revit, Navisworks, 3D scanning, industrial automation, or progress toward P.Eng. registration.
You don't need experience in every area listed. We value strong engineering fundamentals, practical thinking, initiative,
and a genuine willingness to learn.
Why Build Your Career at DSC?
