Build legal research and contract experience with PETRONAS Canada in Calgary through a full time summer student position from May through August 2027.
Working with the Legal team, this student position offers exposure to the energy industry and real-world legal work. You will support legal issues, internal clients, contracts, legislation, policies, and projects. The program also includes subject matter expert sessions and opportunities to share learnings with other students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and analyze legal issues for the Legal group
- Communicate with internal clients on legal matters
- Review and negotiate contracts
- Interpret legislation, policies, and related documentation
- Participate in various projects as needed
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in the second year of a J.D. program
- Returning to studies after the work term
- Maintain professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality
- Demonstrate legal research and writing experience
- Communicate effectively and collaborate with diverse business groups
