Lead freight operations at FedEx Freight Canada, using dispatching and load planning skills to move shipments on time and damage free. Monday to Friday, 0700H to 1530H.
This Operations Supervisor leads employees and supports customer satisfaction through compliant, efficient shipment movement. The work includes coordinating internal stakeholders, contractors, drivers, account managers, dispatch, and freight handlers. Responsibilities span manpower planning, performance monitoring, reporting, and supervisory support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a safe working setting
- Plan and communicate daily loads and manpower needs
- Coordinate inbound, outbound, and hub load distribution
- Dispatch deliveries and pickups on schedule
- Monitor performance,
costs, exceptions, and freight classifications
Requirements:
- Postsecondary diploma or two years related experience
- Three years warehouse, dock, or transportation experience
- Previous leadership experience and valid forklift certificate
- Knowledge of LTL industry and DOT regulations
- Load planning, dispatching, communication, and analytical skills
