Evaluate farm property and casualty risks remotely from Saskatchewan using underwriting judgment, market research, and detailed policy analysis.

As a Farm Property and Casualty Underwriter II, you will underwrite moderately complex risks within Portage Mutual guidelines and risk appetite. You will support brokers and colleagues by explaining business rules, procedures, and service standards. The work includes processing applications, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, declines, and quotes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Accept, reject, endorse, renew, or cancel insurance contracts
- Research rates, apply discounts and surcharges, calculate premiums
- Request inspections and maintain required supporting documentation
- Provide underwriting coaching to recent team members




- Review post-loss underwriting and referred claim files

Requirements:

- Three to five years of progressive underwriting experience
- Personal lines, farm, commercial, or related underwriting background
- MS Office Suite knowledge, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- CIP designation or active pursuit of a CIP designation
- Bachelor's degree or post-secondary certificate, or equivalent industry experience
