AI Product Owner – Commercial Banking

Location: 250 Yonge Street, Toronto, ON

Work Arrangement: 4 days onsite per week (specific days to be confirmed)

Contract Length: 18 months

Experience: 5+ years preferred

Rates:

T4: 65-75

IC: 80-90/hr

What You'll Be Doing

- Drive AI Product Strategy & Execution: Translate broader AI strategies and product roadmaps into detailed execution plans, milestones, deliverables and priorities.
- Own Product Roadmaps: Manage product backlogs, gather requirements, prioritize initiatives and oversee dependencies to keep delivery on track.
- Lead End-to-End Product Delivery: Drive AI and data-driven initiatives from initial use case development through solution design, development, testing, pilot and implementation.
- Bridge Business & Technology: Partner with business stakeholders, developers, data scientists and technical teams to translate business needs into clear product requirements.
- Manage Stakeholder Relationships: Coordinate cross-functional teams, align competing priorities and communicate progress, risks and decisions to key stakeholders.
- Support Implementation & Adoption: Oversee pilot activities, user feedback, change readiness and end-user enablement to ensure successful product adoption.
- Measure Product Performance: Establish and monitor KPIs, adoption metrics and business outcomes to evaluate product effectiveness.
- Navigate Complex Delivery Environments: Balance structured waterfall delivery requirements with teams that operate using Agile methodologies.
- Drive Continuous Improvement:



Identify opportunities to enhance existing products, improve processes and maximize the business value of AI solutions.

What We're Looking For

- 5+ years of experience in product ownership, product management, AI/analytics delivery or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience managing products or initiatives through the full delivery lifecycle, from concept and requirements gathering through implementation.
- Strong experience developing product roadmaps, managing backlogs, prioritizing requirements and coordinating delivery plans.
- Experience working on AI, machine learning, analytics or data-driven product initiatives.
- Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts, data pipelines and the AI product lifecycle.
- Experience working within waterfall delivery environments, with an understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Proven ability to work across business and technical teams, translating complex technical concepts into actionable business requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives, competing priorities, risks and dependencies in a quick-paced workplace.

Nice to Have
- Previous experience within banking, financial services or another regulated industry.
- Exposure to Commercial Banking and an understanding of commercial financial products, lending processes or business banking operations.
- Familiarity with commercial credit, lending or underwriting workflows.
- Experience delivering AI or data-driven products within a financial institution.
