Strengthen Interac’s production reliability through AWS site reliability engineering, automated recovery, and evidence-based operational readiness across payment workloads.

This Senior Cloud Operations Specialist provides hands-on engineering for resilient, supportable AWS environments. You will define recovery objectives, develop self-healing automation, improve monitoring and tracing, and troubleshoot complex production incidents. The position partners across Cloud Operations, Architecture, Security, Cloud Platforms, DevOps, Risk, and Product teams.

Key Responsibilities

Define RTO, RPO, recovery strategies, and resiliency patterns

Lead chaos engineering and disaster recovery testing

Build automated failover, backup validation, and restoration testing





Track service indicators, objectives, and error budgets

Drive root cause analysis and permanent remediation

Requirements

Seven or more years in cloud or reliability engineering

Experience supporting highly available mission-critical services

Deep AWS platform and Terraform knowledge

Robust observability, troubleshooting, and automation experience

Ability to defend documented technical risk decisions
