Bilingual Elementary Tutor – Ahuntsic/Cartierville (In-Person)

Academix Tutoring Services is seeking a patient, engaging, and experienced bilingual tutor to work with two elementary school-aged siblings in the Ahuntsic–Cartierville area of Montreal.

Position Details

- Location: Ahuntsic–Cartierville, Montreal (in-home tutoring)
- Schedule: Twice per week, 2 hours per session (4 hours weekly)
- Students: Two elementary school-aged siblings
- Language Requirements: Must be fully bilingual in English and French
- Start Date: As soon as possible

Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized academic support in English and French.
- Adapt lessons and activities to each child’s learning needs, interests, and abilities.
- Use creative, engaging, and hands-on strategies to maintain motivation and participation.
- Establish consistent routines, clear expectations, and positive reinforcement strategies.
- Support students who experience behavioural challenges, including difficulties with emotional regulation, attention, and task engagement.
- Foster a positive, supportive learning setting that builds confidence and independence.

Qualifications:
- Fluency in both English and French is required.
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children.




- Experience supporting students with behavioural challenges, emotional regulation difficulties, or diverse learning needs.
- Strong classroom management and positive behaviour support skills.
- Patient, warm, reliable, and adaptable.
- Background in education, special education, psychology, psychoeducation, or a related field is an asset.

Additional Information: Both students benefit from a patient, structured approach and an educator who can build strong relationships while maintaining clear boundaries. Although behavioural challenges are present, there are no concerns regarding physical aggression.
