Design building electrical systems at HDR using power distribution, lighting, and engineering analysis across varied project locations. Full time work supports multidisciplinary teams.Reporting to the Electrical Section Manager, this Electrical Engineer contributes design knowledge across data centre, industrial, transit, and healthcare projects. The work includes drawings, calculations, specifications, equipment selection, and coordination with project stakeholders.

The position also supports reviews, construction activities, commissioning, and electrical quality assurance.Key Responsibilities:

Prepare electrical drawings, calculations, and supporting modelsWrite specifications and select electrical equipment and systemsCoordinate with stakeholders, disciplines, and governing agenciesReview documents, submittals, conflicts,



and proposed project changesPerform inspections, commissioning support, and electrical quality assuranceRequirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural EngineeringMinimum five years designing building lighting, power, and systemsProfessional engineering license recognized for the position locationKnowledge of Provincial and Canadian electrical codesStrong AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, AGI, Easy Power, and Microsoft Office skillsApply electrical design, building systems knowledge, and multidisciplinary coordination to HDR projects serving critical facilities and communities.
