Support York Regional Police facilities through HVAC, BAS, and general repair expertise at Headquarters. This permanent, full time position maintains essential building systems.

The Property Maintenance Operator ensures proper operation and maintenance of YRP buildings and related systems.

Responsibilities span plumbing, electrical, HVAC, generators, grounds, furnishings, utilities, and maintenance supplies. The position also supports compliance with Ontario codes, WHMIS, AODA requirements, and workplace legislation.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work meets YRP specifications

Perform generator battery, coolant, oil, and fuel checks

Set up furnishings and equipment in facility areas

Maintain inventory and order building-related supplies





Perform minor groundskeeping and exterior facility maintenance

Requirements

Building Environmental Systems Operator Certification Classes 1 and 2 preferred

Two years’ experience in facility management, operations, or related work

Knowledge of AODA requirements for public buildings

Knowledge of WHMIS and building automation components

Ability to evaluate mechanical or electrical equipment issues safely

Use building systems, generator, and facility maintenance knowledge to support reliable York Regional Police operations at Headquarters.
