Job Summary

Paul’s Walls and Sons Inc. is an established renovation and general contracting company specializing in residential and commercial renovations, remodeling, and construction projects throughout Belleville, Quinte West, Prince Edward County, and surrounding areas.

We are looking for a skilled, reliable, and motivated Carpenter to join our growing team.

The ideal candidate is a well-rounded tradesperson with hands-on experience in multiple aspects of renovation and construction. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, pays attention to detail, and can confidently complete tasks both independently and as part of a team.

Our projects vary in size and scope, so adaptability, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to take on different responsibilities are essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform residential and commercial carpentry, renovations, remodeling, and general construction work.
- Complete framing, structural modifications, blocking, and installation of interior and exterior building components.
- Install doors, windows, trim, baseboards, casing, and other finish carpentry details.
- Assist with kitchen, bathroom, basement, and full-property renovations.
- Perform demolition, preparation, repairs, and general construction tasks as required.
- Read and interpret drawings, measurements, and project specifications.
- Identify and troubleshoot site conditions, ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently.
- Work independently or alongside other trades to maintain project schedules and quality standards.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites,



particularly when working in occupied homes or businesses.
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers, subcontractors, and clients.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and ensure work meets company expectations.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

- Previous hands-on experience in carpentry, renovations, or general construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and installation practices.
- Proficiency with common hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment.
- Ability to measure, cut, level, and install materials accurately.
- Ability to work independently, follow direction, and solve problems on site.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Dependable attendance, punctuality, and a professional attitude.
- Physically capable of performing construction duties, including lifting materials and working on active job sites.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation to job sites.

Preferred Assets:

- Experience with finish carpentry, trim, doors, and cabinetry.
- Experience with residential remodeling, kitchens, bathrooms, and basements.
- Knowledge of drywall installation, flooring, siding, and exterior renovations.
- Experience coordinating with other trades or working on multiple project types.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and independently plan assigned work.
- Personal hand tools and basic carpentry equipment.
