Landscape Carpenter / Labourer

Genesis Woodworks | Waterdown, Ontario

Genesis Woodworks builds custom outdoor structures for residential and commercial landscapes. From decks, sheds, privacy screens, fences, and other outdoor structures, we take projects from plans and materials to finished spaces.

We're looking for a Landscape Carpenter / Labourer to join our team and help build and install these structures. This is a hands-on, site-based role for someone who enjoys working outdoors, working with their hands, and learning new skills. You don't need to be an experienced carpenter: we're looking for someone with a good attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.

The Opportunity

You'll work as part of a crew building and installing outdoor structures at customer sites. You'll work alongside experienced team members, learning how we build and install our structures while taking on more responsibility as your skills develop. You will:

- Assist with the construction and installation of decks, sheds, privacy screens, fences, and other outdoor structures.
- Use hand and power tools to measure, cut, assemble, and install materials.
- Assist with site preparation, material handling, cleanup, and general labour as required.
- Follow instructions and project plans and help keep work moving safely and efficiently.
- Work as part of a crew to maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.

What You Bring to the Team We're looking for someone who is reliable, works hard, and takes pride in doing positive work. You’re someone who:

- Has a positive attitude and is willing to learn.

- Is comfortable using basic hand and power tools.
- Works well as part of a crew and is willing to pitch in wherever needed.
- Is comfortable working outdoors and doing physical work throughout the day.
- Takes pride in their work and pays attention to the details.
- Has a valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.

Previous experience in carpentry, framing, construction, landscaping, fencing, or a similar hands-on environment would be an asset, but isn't required. Framing experience would be considered a strong asset. Why Genesis Woodworks?

At Genesis Woodworks, you'll build things you can actually see and use. You'll work outdoors, learn from experienced people, and have the opportunity to develop your skills while working on a variety of custom projects. This opportunity includes:

- Full-time hours, Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
