Job Overview

Carpenters build, install, repair, and restore wood and related structures using plans, tools, and practical construction methods. The work may include framing, concrete forms, drywall, and exterior siding, with tasks varying by project.

Duties

- Read blueprints and schematics, measure materials, and prepare work areas for construction or restoration.
- Build and install wooden structures, concrete forms, drywall, and siding; complete concrete finishing as needed.
- Select and use hand and power tools safely, move materials, and operate heavy equipment when appropriate.
- Inspect completed work, address defects, and coordinate with colleagues to keep projects organized. Your impact: accurate, well-finished work helps teams deliver durable spaces.

Qualifications Required: Practical carpentry and woodworking skills,



blueprint and schematic reading, and the ability to use hand and power tools for construction tasks. Physical capability for heavy lifting and careful attention to secure, accurate work are important. Preferred: Construction experience, including concrete forming or finishing, drywall, siding, restoration, heavy equipment operation, or welding, is advantageous and supports versatility across project needs.

Pay: $34.48-$45.97 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week

- WHMIS, H & S Training Awareness 4-steps, Working at Heights (preferred)
