Job Summary

Childcare Centre Kitchen Staff prepare and serve meals and snacks in a clean, organized kitchen. The role supports children’s daily routines by helping ensure food is prepared carefully, served promptly, and handled safely.

Duties

- Prepare ingredients and meals according to the centre’s menu and daily schedule, using appropriate cooking and meal preparation practices.
- Serve food and assist with food service, keeping portions and presentation consistent with the centre’s needs.
- Follow food safety and food handling practices while maintaining clean work areas, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Coordinate meal timing and kitchen tasks with centre colleagues to support smooth daily operations.

Requirements Required: Practical food preparation, cooking,



serving, and food handling capabilities, with care for cleanliness, safe work practices, and organized meal preparation. Preferred: Food service experience, including experience in a restaurant, kitchen, or the broader food industry; familiarity with food safety practices is an advantage. Clear communication, dependability, and teamwork help you coordinate tasks and contribute to a welcoming, well-run childcare centre kitchen.

Pay: $21.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
