VAC Developments Ltd is a Canadian Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing Company. We are looking for experienced CNC Lathe Machinist/Operator -Afternoon.

Responsibilities

- Operate, monitor all types of CNC machinery required (CNC 3-5 Axis)
- Studies blueprints, work order, set-up sheet, tool lists, operation sheets, sketches, drawings, GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) ), and CAD models to accurately produce components.
- Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, and grinders as per set up sheets and/or work instructions.
- Select tools and edit program as required.
- Inspect all finished product and compare details to specs on blueprint.
- Conduct routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues related to tooling, machine operation, or programming
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of production runs, inspection reports, and machine logs for quality assurance purposes.
- Maintain work area clean and organized, follow health and safety rules.

Required Skills and Experience:

- More then 5 years’ experience working on Lathe machines for metal products
- Experience in Aerospace industry is an asset
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T; standards, and mechanical drawings for complex parts fabrication.




- Knowledge to select and use appropriate cutting tools and precision measuring instruments to ensure components are machined to specific tolerances and surface finishes as indicated on the drawings
- Work independently.
