Full-Time, Permanent | Calgary, Alberta | On-Site | 40 Hours Guaranteed | Overtime Opportunities | Wage Negotiable
About YYC Freight Services
YYC Freight Services is a well-established Calgary-based logistics company providing warehousing, ground handling, and transportation services. We are proud of our supportive team culture, commitment to employee development, and welcoming work environment.
We are looking for a reliable, motivated, and highly proactive Commercial Fleet & Building Maintenance Technician to join our team.
This is a varied, hands-on position with approximately 50% focused on fleet vehicles and equipment and 50% on building, facility, and general maintenance.
We're looking for a true jack-of-all-trades – someone who is mechanically inclined, resourceful, practical, and comfortable tackling a wide variety of maintenance and repair tasks.
This is not a specialized mechanic or tradesperson position. We value versatility over specialization and are looking for someone with broad practical skills who enjoys variety and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves.
You might be servicing a company truck, troubleshooting a forklift, repairing an overhead door, fixing drywall, addressing a plumbing issue, or tackling general building maintenance. We need someone who can think on their feet, work independently, and find practical solutions.
Being proactive is essential. We want someone who takes ownership, notices what needs attention, identifies potential problems before they become major issues, and takes initiative without waiting to be told what to do. Someone who finishes a task and looks around to see what else needs doing.
Major mechanical work and specialized repairs will be coordinated through qualified outside repair facilities and contractors.
What We Offer
- Competitive hourly wage, negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week with overtime opportunities.
- Full-time, permanent, year-round employment.
