GA Checkpoint is looking for someone to join our Port Coquitlam team as our YARD MANAGER! If you have supervisory experience, hold a valid forklift license, and take pride in working safely, handling equipment with care, and thriving in a fast-paced, multitasking environment, this opportunity could be an excellent fit for you. Forklift experience is required. Experience maneuvering large trailers and handling oversized or irregularly shaped loads is considered a strong asset. We’re happy to train the right candidate in these areas!

This is a full-time position, Tuesday through Saturday, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Occasional schedule adjustments (including earlier start times) may be required based on operational needs, with advance notice provided where possible. You will be working outdoors (rain or shine!) and indoors. Wage is dependent on experience and qualifications.

Job Summary

- Maintain organization and presentation of the outdoor lot, including Marine and Motorsports inventory
- Operate forklifts to move and position boat trailers up to 30 ft in length (non-standard warehouse forklift use)
- Prepare and load trucks/trailers for deliveries and product transfers
- Tow and move products between store locations (using company vehicles & trailers)
- Perform general upkeep and maintenance of dealership grounds and facilities
- Assist with light assembly of trailers and related equipment
- Receive incoming shipments, including products such as Yamaha outboards and powersports vehicles

Qualifications & Skills Required:

- Forklift certification is required




- Class 5 Driver's license is an asset
- Solid leadership and communication skills, with the ability to provide direction, prioritize workloads, and keep daily yard operations running efficiently
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly and adapt to changing priorities
- Experience operating a forklift to move and position trailers, including those carrying boats up to 30 ft, or handling oversized or irregularly shaped loads is a strong asset
- Prior experience safely handling and maneuvering boats and/or powersports equipment using a forklift is considered an asset
- Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and safe equipment-handling practices
- Self-motivated, eager to learn, and committed to professional growth
- Knowledge of either motorsports or marine is an asset
