Lead CIRO’s AI and Automation Centre of Excellence, advancing responsible, scalable adoption across a national regulatory organization.

As Director, Innovation, you own the Centre of Excellence roadmap, operating model, and evolution as capabilities mature. You identify high-value opportunities, oversee use-case governance, and provide leadership visibility into demand, implementation, risks, benefits, and realized value. The role also leads InnovateSafe and supports transformation in the Canadian investment industry.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the AI and Automation Centre of Excellence

Identify opportunities improving CIRO’s effectiveness, efficiency, and ways of working

Monitor adoption, outcomes, risks, perks, and realized value





Evolve the operating model as technology adoption matures

Support responsible testing and advancement of novel ideas

Requirements

Minimum 10 years’ experience in investment industry or regulation

Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Strong understanding of AI, automation, governance, opportunities, and limitations

Experience driving Centre of Excellence adoption and measurable outcomes

Ability to assess emerging technology applications and associated risks

Apply AI governance, automation strategy, and innovation leadership to create measurable value for CIRO and its stakeholders.
