Position Overview

IPC Academy is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our school team. The successful candidate will work closely with classroom teachers to provide a welcoming, structured, and supportive environment where young students can learn and grow.

The ECE will assist with classroom routines, student supervision, learning activities, and the overall well-being of students while supporting the school’s educational goals and Islamic values.

Key Duties

- Work alongside classroom teachers to support daily instruction and student learning.
- Assist with activities and programs appropriate for kindergarten and early elementary students.
- Help establish a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Provide support to students with their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Prepare classroom resources, materials, displays, and hands-on learning activities.
- Assist teachers with classroom routines, transitions, and organization.
- Monitor students and provide appropriate supervision throughout the school day.
- Supervise students during lunch, recess, classroom activities, and school programs.
- Observe student development and share relevant information with classroom teachers.
- Maintain accurate attendance and other classroom documentation as required.




- Communicate respectfully and professionally with students, families, colleagues, and administration.
- Participate in staff meetings, school activities, special events, and professional learning.
- Use basic computer and Microsoft Office skills for documentation, communication, and record keeping.
- Follow all school policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Support the school’s mission, values, and Islamic learning workplace.

Requirements
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE).
- RECE designation is an asset.
- Previous experience working with children in a school, childcare, or educational setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a classroom team.
- Patient, dependable, caring, and professional approach when working with children.
- Good organizational and classroom-management skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
