Responsibilities include applying the Ontario Fire Code, Ontario Building Code, municipal by-laws, and related legislation. The successful candidate also supports investigations, interprets plans and technical documents, and communicates findings through reports, public speaking, and court testimony.

Key Responsibilities

Administer fire prevention and public safety education services

Review plans, blueprints, codes, regulations, and technical documents

Requirements

Minimum five years’ related experience in fire protection fields

Thorough Ontario Fire Code and Building Code knowledge

Eligibility as Assistant to the Fire Marshal
