We are currently seeking a reliable, hardworking, and experienced General Cleaner to join our team in North Bay, Ontario.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing general janitorial duties, operating larger commercial floor cleaning equipment, and assisting with outdoor maintenance, including snow removal using a snowblower.

The ideal candidate will have previous commercial cleaning experience, hands-on knowledge of heavy-duty floor cleaning machinery, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Work Schedule

- Monday to Friday: 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Position Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week)

Applicants must be available to work the required schedule.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform general janitorial duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces.
- Operate larger commercial floor cleaning equipment, including automatic floor scrubbers, buffers, and other heavy-duty cleaning machinery.
- Perform specialized floor care tasks to maintain clean, safe, and presentable flooring.
- Operate a snowblower to clear snow from sidewalks, entrances, walkways, and other designated outdoor areas.
- Maintain the cleanliness of washrooms, offices, common areas, and other assigned spaces.
- Empty garbage and recycling bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Safely handle and use commercial cleaning chemicals, products, and equipment.
- Inspect, clean, and maintain equipment to ensure safe and effective operation.




- Follow established cleaning procedures, workplace safety guidelines, and company policies.
- Report maintenance concerns, equipment issues, or safety hazards to supervisors.
- Complete additional cleaning and maintenance duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Previous commercial janitorial or cleaning experience required.
- Experience operating larger commercial floor cleaning machinery is required.
- Experience operating automatic floor scrubbers, buffers, and other heavy-duty cleaning equipment.
- Ability to safely operate a snowblower and perform outdoor snow removal duties.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning products, equipment, and safe handling procedures.
- Physically capable of performing cleaning and maintenance tasks, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and operating machinery.
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned responsibilities efficiently.
- Robust attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain a consistent work schedule.
