Healthcare Scheduler / Care Coordinator

Carevo Home Healthcare is seeking a proactive and organized Scheduler with a healthcare background to coordinate PSW schedules and communicate with clients. The ideal candidate uses critical thinking, takes initiative, and responds promptly to last-minute staffing changes to support continuity of care.

Responsibilities

- Create, update, and monitor PSW schedules using Connecteam.
- Contact PSWs to confirm availability, assignments, and shift changes.
- Coordinate with clients and families regarding care schedules and staffing updates.
- Respond promptly to cancellations and unexpected absences by identifying available, qualified replacements.
- Assess urgent scheduling concerns, take action within established procedures, and escalate unresolved coverage or client safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Match staff availability, qualifications, and service locations with client care requirements.
- Maintain accurate scheduling records and communicate changes to everyone involved.
- Follow up to confirm replacement coverage and keep clients informed.

Qualifications





- Previous experience in healthcare, home care, medical administration, or a related setting.
- Previous scheduling or staffing coordination experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of Connecteam for scheduling and staff communication.
- Robust communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize competing needs and remain calm under pressure.
- Sound judgment and initiative, especially when managing last-minute cancellations.
- Understanding of confidentiality and professional communication.
