As Mechanical Shop Supervisor / Fleet Manager, you will lead shop operations and supervise mechanics and apprentices. The position combines planning, diagnostics, mentoring, fleet maintenance software, and hands-on technical support. Your work keeps equipment operational across northern construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, mentor, and support mechanics and apprentices
- Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules and field support
- Assign repairs, maintenance, and emergency work priorities
- Diagnose complex issues across fleet equipment
- Maintain service records, tracking systems, and inventory controls
Requirements:
- Five years' heavy equipment maintenance experience minimum
- Supervisory or service management responsibility
- Robust diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities
- Fleet management software experience
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence
