Manage heavy passenger rail design projects for SYSTRA Canada in Toronto, overseeing technical delivery, milestones, issues, and stakeholder coordination.This Design Manager assignment reports to the Deputy Director, Design, within the Transit division. You will help ensure design development supports infrastructure scope and successful project execution. The work includes technical oversight, pre-construction reviews, project monitoring, risk and issue management, and coordination across operational railway environments.Key Responsibilities:





Oversee design deliverables and railway infrastructure integrationControl activities during project development and implementationReview plans for optimal network-wide project coordinationTrack milestones and communicate status to the DirectorManage investigations, corrective actions, and cost-impact contingenciesRequirements:

Degree in engineering, applied science, or related disciplineAt least eight years’ project management experience in heavy passenger railExperience planning complex multidisciplinary construction worksExperience working within operational corridorsKnowledge of railway infrastructure and construction projectsUse heavy rail project management, design oversight, and issue resolution skills to advance SYSTRA Canada transit projects.
