Job Summary The High School Math and Physics Tutor (In-Person) (Part-Time) helps high school students strengthen subject understanding, build problem-solving skills, and approach learning with confidence. Through focused, in-person tutoring and clear explanations, you support students’ progress and help them engage more effectively with challenging material.

Duties

- Tutor students in high school math and physics, adapting explanations and practice to their learning needs.
- Teach problem-solving strategies, review assignments, and check understanding through guided practice.
- Use computer skills and relevant computer science knowledge to support instruction and learning activities.
- Draw on classroom experience and special education approaches to make tutoring accessible and responsive.
- Your impact: Students gain clearer understanding and practical strategies they can use in class.

Experience





- Ontario certified teacher and/or University degree in math, science or engineering
- Experienced and educated in the background of tutoring/mentoring to be provided
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to work both as a part of a team and independently
- Robust communication and multitasking abilities
- Experience with students in a teaching or tutoring environment
- Excellent organizational skills

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour Expected hours: 4.0 – 16.0 per week
