Direct information security operations, vulnerability management, and cyber incident response for the City of Hamilton in a hybrid arrangement.

As Manager, Cybersecurity, you will lead assigned professionals and service providers supporting governance, monitoring, identity security, and security assurance. Reporting to the CISO, you will coordinate protection across networks, endpoints, applications, Microsoft 365, Azure, cloud, and hybrid environments. The work includes translating emerging threats into proportionate controls and measurable improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Manage security platforms, logs, alerts, detection coverage, and escalations

Coordinate incident triage, investigation, containment, evidence preservation, and recovery

Prioritize vulnerability and penetration-testing findings by business risk

Oversee identity, access,



information-protection, and security architecture requirements

Measure awareness training, phishing exercises, and behavior-change effectiveness

Requirements

Progressive information technology or cybersecurity experience

Management experience leading security operations and managed services

Knowledge of NIST CSF, CIS Controls, and ISO/IEC 27001

Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, cloud, and hybrid security

Solid communication, analytical, problem-solving, and judgment skills
