OK Tire Stores

Surrey

Who are we?

OK Tire has been proudly Canadian since 1953. With over 300 independently owned and operated locations across all 10 provinces, we continue to expand our national footprint. As we enter an exciting new phase of growth, we’re seeking passionate, results-driven professionals to support our dealer network and strategic initiatives.

Are you the person who needs to know why the numbers don’t match?

Maybe you’re the one who spots the inconsistency everyone else missed. You like pulling apart a problem, following the data, finding the pattern, and figuring out how things actually work.

You’re comfortable putting your headphones on and getting deep into a problem, but you also enjoy being part of a team that collaborates, shares ideas, laughs together, and isn’t afraid to move quickly.

If that sounds like you, you might be exactly who we’re looking for.

We’re looking for a Junior Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team at our Corporate Office in Surrey. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who has a strong analytical and technical foundation and wants the opportunity to learn, experiment, solve real business problems, and see the impact of their work.

What You’ll Get to Work On

You’ll work alongside our Business Intelligence and IT teams and collaborate with people throughout the organization to turn questions, requirements, and sometimes messy data into useful information and practical solutions.

You’ll get to

- Dig into business questions and help translate them into clear reporting and data requirements.
- Build and maintain reports, dashboards and analytical solutions using Infor Birst and other BI tools.
- Use your SQL and database skills to investigate data, solve problems and support our reporting environment.
- Apply front-end, back-end and database knowledge to support data-driven applications, integrations and reporting tools.
- Explore business performance, trends and KPIs and help us understand what the data is really telling us.
- Investigate data discrepancies, find the root cause and help ensure the information people rely on is accurate.
- Support data models, data warehouse structures and the continued evolution of our Business Intelligence workplace.
- Help colleagues solve reporting and data questions and make our BI tools easier to understand and use.
- Keep reporting requirements, methodologies and documentation organized so we can work smarter and avoid reinventing the wheel.

- Bring your ideas to cross-functional projects and help us find better, faster and smarter ways to use data.

What Will Help You Succeed We’re most interested in finding someone with the right foundation, curiosity and way of thinking.

You’ll likely thrive here if you:

- Have a diploma or degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Have 2+ years of relevant experience, which could include professional experience, co-op placements, internships or meaningful project work.
- Have working knowledge of SQL and full stack development concepts, including front-end, back-end and database technologies.
- Have experience with a business intelligence, reporting or data visualization platform. Infor Birst experience would be a definite asset.
- Are highly comfortable in Excel and enjoy working with data, validating information and solving problems.
- Are organized and methodical, but adaptable enough to shift gears when priorities change.
- Can explain technical information clearly to people who may not speak “data.”
- Bonus points for experience with PostgreSQL, ETL, data warehousing, data modelling, Kimball methodology, OLAP, ERP systems, predictive modelling, accounting, finance, inventory, procurement or operations.

The Kind of Person We Think Will Love This Role You don’t necessarily need to be the loudest person in the room. In fact, you might be someone who prefers to observe first, think things through and then contribute a well-considered idea.

You notice details. You ask good questions. You enjoy uninterrupted time to work through something complicated, but you’re also happy to pull up a chair with a colleague and work through a problem together.

Most importantly, you’re curious. When something doesn’t make sense, you want to understand it. When a process feels inefficient, you wonder whether there’s a better way. And when you finally solve the problem that’s been bugging you for hours? That’s a pretty good day.

What It’s Like Here

Our Corporate Office is quick-paced, collaborative and genuinely fun. People work hard, but we also laugh, share ideas, help each other out and enjoy spending time together. You’ll have opportunities to work independently and get into the details, while still being connected to a team and an organization where relationships matter.

We’re looking for someone who can bring their own personality to the team. You don’t need to be an extrovert to make an impact here. Thoughtful, curious and quietly confident fits us just fine.
