Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Hand & Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and ready for use. This position is essential in supporting the overall food service operations within our establishment.

Responsibilities

- Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping and mopping floors as needed.
- Ensure that all food handling and safety regulations are followed to prevent contamination.
- Assist kitchen staff with food preparation tasks as required.
- Help maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements





- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Food Safety Certificate is required or will be an asset.
- Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights (up to 50 pounds).
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
