Hootsuite is seeking a Lead, Software Development, DevOps to lead a team of SRE/DevOps practitioners. The role is split between technical execution (50%) and people leadership, process management, and project oversight (50%), with responsibility for designing and delivering a reliable, scalable, secure, and performant cloud-based Linux infrastructure platform that supports product development teams.

What You'll Do - Enable development teams to access infrastructure platform interfaces and tools supporting the entire software development lifecycle

- Manage reliability, security, and integrity of large-scale cloud-based Linux infrastructure including diagnosis of distributed systems, implementation of runbooks, monitoring, and alerting
- Build, maintain, and improve infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code approaches
- Lead and mentor team members while collaborating cross-functionally to solve technical problems and build better systems




- Implement continuous improvement initiatives for team culture and processes using Agile methodologies, participate in on-call rotations What You Need - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or software engineering roles with substantial contributions to high-impact software projects
- Robust proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible
- Deep background in cloud infrastructure design and operations with ability to architect and automate production cloud infrastructure
- Proven leadership and influence capabilities; ability to clarify complex problems, propose improvements, and develop team capabilities Canada Pay Range: $115,000–$160,000 CAD
