Potter's Hand Daycare is a licensed, ECE-owned and operated childcare centre located in Kelowna's Landmark District. As our centre continues to grow, we're looking for a passionate, caring, and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our team!

We're a close-knit group of educators who believe in creating a warm, inclusive, and engaging environment where children thrive and everyone feels valued.

The Position

We have full-time and part-time opportunities available.

We're looking for someone who:

- Genuinely loves working with young children
- Is warm, playful, patient, and nurturing
- Enjoys collaborating and contributing to a positive team environment
- Brings creativity, enthusiasm, and fresh ideas to the classroom
- Takes initiative and works confidently both independently and with others
- Is dependable, adaptable, and approaches each day with a positive attitude
- Enjoys outdoor play, daily walks, and hands-on learning experiences
- Communicates respectfully with children, families, and colleagues

Qualifications

- Valid BC Early Childhood Educator (ECE) certification required
- Infant/Toddler Educator (ITE) certification is an asset, but not required
- Valid First Aid certification
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check
- Knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) is an asset
- Must be a Canadian citizen

American Sign Language is an important part of who we are. We proudly serve Deaf and Hard of Hearing families and incorporate ASL into our everyday routines, songs, stories, and learning experiences. We also welcome a Deaf educator to lead a weekly ASL-rich circle time.

Previous ASL experience isn't necessary — just a willingness to learn!
